Kinomoto Touya
Touya is one of the lesser cosplayed characters from the popular shoujo anime Cardcaptor Sakura. He is Sakura's older brother, and more commonly seen as Yukito's best friend. He's got the sixth sense going on, and is a high schooler with many part time jobs. Touya is probably my favourite character from the series, and he and Yukito shounen-ai stuff is cannon. ^_-

Touya was a lot of fun to make and wear, and was perfect for a small convention when I had a very low budget. He was completed for Yaoi Con 2001 in the hopes that Michi would be my Yukito (although she was too busy finishing her Chrono Cross/Nikki costume). Anyway, the pants and short-sleeve dress shirt were both thrift store bought. The pants are actually my Kaji pants, the belt is my old Youji belt, and the shoes are my Folken boots. I bought three sheets of felt at Jo-Ann's to make the badge, blue stripes on the sleeves and the trim on the tie. I searched all over for a solid navy blue tie and finally stole one from my father (apparently it's an old air force tie). The hair is actually a wig, although sometimes it looks like its real. It's an Austin Powers wig I got at a local thrift store for $15. Whee. All the together it came out well, and I carried a plushie Kerochan around with me for identification. This costume is the Summer Uniform and has no jacket and short sleeves. The badge is actually different coloured and stuff too. I plan to eventually get the Winter Uniform done too, in time for Ani-Magic.
