Kinomoto Touya (epi. 65)
This is Kinomoto Touya from Cardcaptor Sakura from episode 65 and partially 66 in the third seasonof the anime. He's the stoic older brother of the main character Sakura. He's wearing a costume for a movie he was filming for his school in this episode, hence the periodic dress.
Touya wears this costume in episode 65 (and some of 66) in the Cardcaptor Sakura series. This is a very pivotal episode in regards to Touya and Yue, but to spare hapless readers, I won't spoil what happens in the episode. Regardless, my friend Haruka has been my Yukito to my summer school uniform Touya costume, so when she decided to get her Yue costume done for Ani-Magic, I wanted to try a costume that matched her better. Touya wears this costume with Yue in episode 65, and since it seemed a fairly easy to get costume, 10 days before AniMagic, I decided to get it done. I ordered the hakama online, and found the banded collar dress shirt at a store. I made the green kimono top with little effort and bought some gold buttons to sew onto the shirt to match Touya's. It was pretty quick and painless. He actually weats geta shoes in the show, but Haruka forgot to bring them, so to maintain the Touya-is-taller-than-Yue effect, I wore my boots for the costume. Not sure I'll wear this again, but it was comfortable (if a little warm), and I think it looked nice on me. ^_^ A couple people even knew who I was, although most though I was just doing generic Japanese clothing cosplay. =/
