Zell Dincht

Zell is the hyperactive and overly bouncy 17 year old from Final Fantasy VIII. He loves martial arts, hot dogs and the pigtailed girl from the library. He's pretty much opposite everything I cosplay, and I didn't really enjoy cosplaying him. ^^;;;;; Unfortunately, I make a very bad Zell.

This is just pure frightfulness, isn't it? Basically the story is that I did Irvine Kinneas cosplay several years ago and my cosplay partner Michi did Zell. I've since cut my hair off and she's let hers grow out, and consequently, I look more like Zell now and she looks more like Irvine. So for Animagic 2002 we decided for the Final Fantasy gathering that was going on there, we'd switch costumes. She wore my Irvine costume and I put on her Zell one. The jacket was made by Stephen (featured in one of the pictures above). The black shirt was mine, and I actually sewed in all the ribbing and buttons he has on it, as well as the orange square on his chest. The shorts and belt were mine, yay, and the shoes. They didn't match, but I didn't have time to make shoe covers. ^^;;; Oh well. Gret socks, yaddayadda. The wig was my Suboshi wig. I was planning to style it more like Zells, but no one had any hair gel or hair spray or anything. >_< Grrr! Oh well. And the tatoo was drawn on with a crappy brown marker with no source refference by me. LOL Whoops. @_@; Oh well. Gloves were Michi's. It was fun, I guess, but I don't make a very good Zell. @_@;;;;;
But hey, just need do get a Squall and a Seifer costume to borrow and I'll've cosplayed all the main FF8 men. XD If you got any comments on this costume, please let me know! Thanks!
